William (bill) was born on the 13th december 1937 in kircaldy. He has 2 brothers sandy & jim & 2 sisters mary & martha also a half brother robert. Williams farther was Alexander pow and his mother was Mary pow. During his early life the family moved around as his farther was a dairyman in fife & angus. When in angus sadly his mother died when william was aged 7. His farther remarried later on and adopted his new wifes son colin. William met his wife catherine on a bus tour and were married in november 1957. Later on william did his national service of 3yrs in the queens own highlanders and served abroad. While in the army william and catherine had there first child angela who was born in 1961,there other children billy was born in 1969 and lastly stuart in 1970 while working on a farm at strathkinness. Due to back problems william and his family moved to guardbridge in 1977 and worked for a while driving taxi,s and with pea viners. In 1985 william went back dairy farming in angus and later in drumblade for several years. William then became a self employed releaf worker then cattleman at clova farm. Arthritis then forced william to retire in 2001 in 2002 while he was a pedetrian he was hit by a speeding car in the village of kenethmont asnd seriously injured enduring several operations. In 2008 william was diagnosed with liver disease and had to move to a care home in 2010. It was at the care home that william died peacefuly 10 days after there 54 wedding anaversary.
